Welcome to Breakthrough 2012 - a time to stand alongside one another in prayer and have faith that we’ll see God unlock victory in every area of our lives. ‘The battle belongs to the Lord!’ We want to see breakthrough in our thinking, in our ambition, in our vision, for salvation, for healing and for provision. Breakthrough 2012 begins for Ivy Church on Sunday 8 January, and for 21 days will be united with a common purpose in prayer and fasting.

Why not take on the FASTfood challenge and choose some time to fast between 8 and 29 January? We fast when our hunger for God trumps our hunger for anything else.

The Bible talks about some prayers that can only be answered through fasting. In this booklet there’s plenty of advice about how to plan a time of fasting both for you and your family. Remember, there are more free FASTfood resources available online.

Breakthrough 2012 at Ivy Church concludes on Sunday 29 January with all-age worship at 10.30am followed by a fellowship ‘feast’. This will be a celebratory time with opportunities to share testimonies of breakthrough and faith.

“So I turned to the Lord God and pleaded with him in prayer and petition, in fasting, and in sackcloth and ashes… I ate no choice food; no meat or wine touched my lips; and I used no lotions at all until the three weeks were over.” (Daniel 9:3 & Daniel 10:3)
